A Padel video game for PC and consoles is on its way. We’re talking about Padel Rivals.
A few days ago, I shared why I had disappeared for almost 10 months. I explained what happened and what I’ve been doing from January until now, and I wrapped up by announcing the creation of the indie studio Krokanti Games.
This year’s flagship project, brought to you by Krokanti Games, is Padel Rivals: a Padel video game for PC and consoles. And that’s what I want to talk to you about today.
A Padel video game
The idea was there, and so was the ability to make it happen. Padel Rivals is born from a need that is both personal and shared by the community.
As someone who’s been playing Padel for over 3 years, I’ve always felt that a video game was missing. I could play tennis, soccer, basketball… even soccer with cars… but not Padel. There are no Padel video games.
And it’s not for a lack of interest. Padel is the second most-played sport in Spain and one of the fastest-growing in the world. In 2023, more than 500 new courts were opened in Spain, and there are already more than 5 million players worldwide. But these numbers still fall short compared to other sports. Even so, the opportunity to create this first Padel video game is enormous for a small, disciplined team like ours.
What is Padel Rivals?
Padel Rivals is a Padel video game for PC and consoles that aims to offer a fun, accessible, and competitive experience. We want both casual and hardcore players to be able to enjoy the game and find their place in it.
We will have game modes for single-player, local and online multiplayer, tournaments, and a story mode. There will also be customization options for characters, courts, and gear. And of course, a progression and rewards system to motivate players to keep improving and playing.

We’re aiming for an arcade-style approach that allows us to take certain liberties when it comes to representing Padel, the courts, and some moves and effects, giving it that unique and fun touch that only games that break the rules can have.
The story mode aims to add an extra narrative layer, a story that will let you fully step into the shoes of a young talent starting at the very bottom of the Padel Rivals League—the most prestigious Padel league in the world, held in the city of Nova Vista. A fictional city that blends elements from real cities like Barcelona, Madrid, Miami, or Dubai, and whose Padel courts are sure to leave a lasting impression.
When is Padel Rivals coming out?
Our roadmap is quite tight, and we need to meet a series of important milestones before validating the next steps. But, if everything goes according to plan, we’ll likely be able to enjoy a PC early access release in mid-2026. Before that, of course, demos and previews will be released, and we’ll be showing our development progress along the way.
